How neat is this? This was announced today over at Kelly’s official website. Too bad they will not be playing in Texas – that just sucks! Oh well…I am sure that there are many of you that will still be able to go! I hope that you all have had a great week, and are ready for the weekend! Was yesterday’s announcement cool or what??? I can’t believe that they are giving away a signed guitar from Kelly! That is just too damn cool for all of us that are huge fans! If you did not get a chance to ready about it, check out yesterday’s post here. I want all of us to sign up, and hope that one of us wins! Too much fun! What a great way to ring in the holidays!

Kelly is stilling singing her way though the states on her My December tour! I hope that you all have had the chance to go and check her out in concert! It is sure to be a great concert! If you have already attended, do tell us all about it! I am sure that all of us would be very interested in hearing how everything happened for the concert! She puts on a great show every time, from what I hear, so I am sure that no one would be disappointed!

My December tour

Happy Friday, gang!

And what a great Friday it is!!!! I just received an e-mail from Kelly’s official website stating that they are giving away one (1) Squier Strat guitar by Fender

as well as a Road Runner carrying case!

< Do you know what the best part about the contest is, gang??? The guitar is signed by Kelly! How much would you LOVE to win a Fender guitar that has been signed by Kelly??!!??? I don’t know about you, but I have already signed up to add my name to the mix in the hopes that I will win it! I can’t imagine that I will, as there will be thousands that will sign up for this surprise, but hey, I have a one in several thousand chances that I WILL win! We’ve always gotta look at the cup as half full, people! LOL

Also stated in the e-mail was that the third video from Kelly’s behind-the-scenes footage is now available! For the last 3 Friday’s, including today, the website is posting the videos for everyone to view! Breaking Kelly News, gang!

As promised, if there is ever any breaking Kelly news, I am going to bring it here to you all! Thanks to Kelly Clarkson Roks (whose MySpace page can be seen here) we have found out that our gal Kelly is going to be the headline performer for the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show! How exciting is that?!? I know that I am stoked about it! This means that we should all have the opportunity to be able to see Kelly perform on Thanksgiving Day! Woot!

Kelly Clarkson has been announced as “Headline Performer” for the “Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show!”

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has announced that two-time Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson will perform live during the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day halftime show! The November 22nd halftime concert will officially kick off the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas fundraiser, the nation’s largest holiday charitable fundraising drive. The nationally televised live event at Texas Stadium will be broadcast during halftime of the Cowboys match-up against the New York Jets.

Each year the Dallas Cowboys and The Salvation Army encourage Americans to help those less fortunate by donating to The Salvation Army Red Kettles throughout the holiday season. As part of the 2007 celebration, Clarkson will perform songs from her latest album, My December, including the top-ten Billboard Hot 100 single, “Never Again”, to help to raise money in the kettles for holiday toys, coats and many other Salvation Army social services. She will also serve as honorary chairperson of the campaign, which will run nationally from Friday, November 23rd through Christmas Eve, December 24th.

Although it is early in the year still for Thanksgiving, there are those who go hungry every day. As the slogan for Salvation Army states, “Need Knows No Season”. I couldn’t agree more. A fellow 451 Blogger, Beth Turnage, who writes for the Astrology Explored blog, has decided to create an idea for November about “Poverty and Power”. I think that this is an excellent idea, and am glad that Kelly is using her power to help promote the needs of those that are in poverty. I, too, have worked with the Salvation Army, and I know that it is a very reputable charity that helps to feed millions of families every day. There is no better time to help those that are in need than today, so take the time to do something special to help those that are less fortunate than you. The power of
paying it forward” is an awesome experience to see! Keep checking back here, too, for additional updates about Kelly and how she is helping out those that are less fortunate, thanks to the Salvation Army!

Pop star Kelly Clarkson will tour Australia next year. The (2008) March dates will be Kelly’s first time on stage in Australia since her successful tour of 2005. “My December is a journal of my last two years. The songs go from emotional ballads to fun rockers. I can’t wait to perform them live for all my fans in Australia,” Kelly says.”

Hello gang! Happy Monday!

I hope that you all had a great weekend! It seems as though Kelly and Reba certianly have! Reba’s duet with Kelly for “Because of You“, made it to #1 on the CMT Countdown! WTG, ladies! I have a great feeling that they are going to win that CMA award, don’t you?!?

I love this version of the song as well, because it puts a whole new spin on the song, doesn’t it? I wish them all the best, and hope that they will keep cranking away at the awards! It is so much fun to see Kelly’s song live on!
