Reminiscing about the first time

Happy Saturday, gang!

I hope that you all have had a great weekend so far! Have you done anything fun? I still can not believe that Thanksgiving is knocking at our door! Where the heck does time go? And of course, after the holiday’s there are the Christmas and Hanukkah shopping that also takes place, which makes every store a dang zoo! I have never been one to get into the Black Friday shopping, so I suppose that I am lucky on that end that I do not have to worry about that! Lucky me!

So I was thinking back today about how far I have come on this blog. I have truly come a long way from when I started just a few short months ago. There are many readers that I have between this blog and my other one, and I am so very grateful for all of my readers that take the time to say hello! You are all just so delightful, and I know that I am truly blessed to have so many people that are interested in reading what I have to say, as well as take part in conversation from time to time! When I first started, I was not sure if I would feel as though I would run out of things to say, or if I would be interested in keeping the spirit of the blog alive with a flow of ideas. Needless to say, there is always new news that pops up here, so I am quite happy to bring it to you all! You guys (and gals, too!) rock!

Wishing you all a great weekend! See you back here on Monday!

Peace!

Getting Ready

Friday, November 9th, 2007

TGIF, gang!

I hope that your week has gone well, and that you are ready for the weekend! Many of us are preparing for the Thanksgiving holidays, and I don’t know about you, but I am ready to eat some great white meat (turkey that is! LOL)! What is everyone planning to do for the holidays? For those of you that reside in other countries, do you have a day of Thanksgiving as well (I know that Canada does!). How do you celebrate your holiday?
There is so much to be thankful for as well, right gang? In keeping up with the current tradition of what you are thankful for here on this blog, I am thankful for the food that I have to sustain me through the day! I love to cook and am proud to say that I am a good cook at that, which is also a blessing!

I know that many of you have been to Kelly’s concerts, so I am interested in hearing all about it! Tell me what the concert was like, because I am unable to go! Doesn’t that just suck? Whaa!! Nonetheless, I know that many of you are able to go see her in concert, so I hope that you all have had just the greatest of times at the concert! If you have been, do tell us about it! Oh, and don’t forget that Kelly will soon be on television again for the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day kickoff! Woohoo!

I hope that you all have a great Friday!

Until tomorrow, gang! Cheers!

What Hurts the Most

Happy Thursday, Gang!

I hope that you all are doing well, and are still preparing for the holiday’s! I know that I am ready to be with friends and family for the occasion, so let’s hope that the Thanksgiving Day will be a good one! What are YOU all doing? Where will YOU be traveling to, or is family coming to your home? I hope that everyone has some good plans in the works! And remember, the Thanksgiving holiday is all about giving thanks, so make sure that you are thankful for all that you have!

Well, last night was the big night for Reba and Kelly. Unfortunately, they did not win, but I think that they gave the competition a good run for their money, nonetheless. There were a lot of great singers that were also in the category that they were in, so I think that they at least had some good company!

Are you all still attending those concerts? Kelly is doing some killer performances ( isn’t she always? LOL) and many of YOU have been in attendance! If you have already been to one of Kelly’s shows, tell us all about it! I know that many of us would be very interested to hear about the concert!

Oh yes, and before I forget, let me give you all something else that I am thankful for. I am thankful for my home. Although it is not exactly where we want to live anymore, it keeps us warm, and gives us shelter, so for that, I am very grateful!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

Happy Wednesday, gang!

I hope that you all are having a great week so far! I can not believe that we are halfway through the week already! Do you all have any good plans for this weekend? I think that I have a lot of articles that I need to take care of, so I am going to be here this weekend hacking away at the computer! Nonetheless, I love what I do, so it is all worth it! I mean, where else can you have the luxury from working from home all the while getting paid? And in your pajamas too? Love it!

Tonight is the night that Reba and Kelly are both up for the CMA award for Music event of the year. I really hope that they win it, but even if they don’t at least it was a good running! Keep your fingers, crossed, gang! It’s going to be a nail biter for sure! Make sure that you tune into ABC at 7 central tonight to catch all of the fun unfold!

Also, in the note of staying “thankful”, I wanted to share another thing that I am thankful for today. I am ALWAYS thankful for having the internet. Seriously. I am thankful that there is such a communication where we can instantly talk to one another, and I can work from home. How cool is it to have information at the click of a mouse? Think about it, without the internet, you wouldn’t be reading this! LOL

Until tomorrow, gang! Cheers!

Happy Tuesday, gang!

I hope that you all are doing well! Monday is over, and we are into the week! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is coming in less than 3 weeks? Is that insane or what? What all are you doing for Thanksgiving? Will you be traveling to another state or city to see loved ones? Luckily, most of my loved ones live here in Texas, so there isn’t any additional traveling that I have to do! Of course, I am not sure what the plans for Thanksgiving will be either, so we’ll have to wait to see what will unfold! In a continuation of things to be thankful for, I wanted to share with you all today that I am thankful for my job! It is a blessing to be able to work from home and make money while doing it! I am a full-time freelance writer, and, even though I have my rough days, I am so grateful to be able to make money from the comfort of my own home! Got to love that! LOL

Tomorrow is an exciting day for Kelly! She is up for music event of the year with Reba for her smash hit “Because of You”. The award will be given tomorrow night at the 41st annual CMA awards, so be sure that you tune in to see if our gal and Reba won! That would be so exciting!

Don’t forget to support Kelly by checking her out on her My December tour! Its been a great hit so far, and is sure to still be wonderful if you have the opportunity to go!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

Kelly Keeps Rocking It

Monday, November 5th, 2007

kelly-monday.jpg

Happy Monday, gang!

I hope that you all had a great weekend! I know that I did! It was nice to kick back yesterday and take a few minutes away from writing (I write full time), and simply enjoy the last few warm days of the fall. Here is Texas, the saying always goes that there are two seasons…hot and hotter! LOL It’s so true as well – there’s just something so weird about being outside in November and you are wearing a short sleeved shirt and shorts! Insane! Oh well, I am sure that we will have cooler weather before we know it, so I will cherish the warm sunny days while I can!

I hope that everyone that has been to Kelly’s concerts so far have had a great time! Special thanks to the commenter on Saturday that stated that he loved the Minneapolis concert! It is so great to hear from some of you! Kelly is getting ready to head back home to Texas in about two weeks, so I know that she is stoked ( as well as all of us!). There may still be some tickets that are left at various venues, so check out this blog posting to see if Kelly’s My December tour is still coming near you soon!

Also, don’t forget to check out the information with Salvation Army for Kelly’s help celebrating the seasons. I have first hand experience with Salvation Army, and let me tell you, it is one of the best charities that I have ever seen!

Oh, and before I forget, don’t forget to list what you are THANKFUL for! I am thankful for my pets, who love me unconditionally! They are the best!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

Thankful

TGIF, gang!!!

This has been a fun week so far, hasn’t it? I mean, you have Halloween, when you get to see all of the cute kids in their costumes (and, by the way, what the heck is up with the “older” kids still doing Halloween? I think that it should be for the little ones!) and give them candy, make them smile…but, I digress. Nonetheless, Halloween has come and gone, and now it is time to focus on Thanksgiving!

This month, I want to list one thing every time that I blog that I am thankful for! I encourage you to do the same! There are so many things that I am thankful for, that I am sure that the list will not be too hard to come up with at all! So, first and foremost, I am thankful for my love, who keeps me grounded, and always reminds me that I am loved! To go through life without love is like not living at all…and that would be a total shame! :)

Speaking of love…I think that our girl, Kelly, is just having a rocking time on her tour! As I posted the other day, if you check out her website, they are always showing really fun clips for the fan club members. All of the videos can be seen by the members, and if I am not mistaken, there are a few that can be available for viewing by the mass population. There are great clips on there of Kelly, Ashley, Jill, Kate, Jason, Chris, Eniar ( my apologies if I spelled his name wrong) and many others! Be sure to check them out! Also, make sure that you are sending in your submissions for your stories on how you met Kelly…you never know, you may be up for a prize for your time!

Until tomorrow gang! Peace!

Family Traditions

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Happy Tuesday, gang!

I hope that you all are doing well, and are making some great plans for Thanksgiving! There is so much to be grateful for and thankful for. Aside from the turkey, what do you all like to eat on your Thanksgiving Day meals? Personally, I do not care for turkey (crazy, I know!), so I just stick to the yummy sides which seem to work well for me anyhow! What do YOU like to eat? What do YOU like to do on Thanksgiving Day? Is watching football a favorite pastime for you and your family, or do you start to get out all of your holiday decorations? It is always fun to read about what you all are interested in here and at my other blog, so make sure that you keep those comments coming!

One of the many traditions that I always look forward to on Thanksgiving is watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. I have always loved to watch the super large balloons drift by, while there were also the beautiful Rockettes that high kick into the Christmas holidays. Nothing rings in the Christmas holidays quite like the annual parade!

So what about you? What are your family traditions that you hold on to year after year? I think that sticking to traditions is a great means of getting back to the family traditions that are so lacking today, and need to be brought to life once again. Of course, I do not really talk to my family, so what do I know? LOL ;)

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

The Day After

kelly.jpg

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I hope that you all have survived Halloween with a good fright or two, and lots of candy! Where we live, we do not get any trick-or-treaters, which is a bummer, but hey, more candy for us, right? I do miss watching the little kids in their adorable costumes, trying as hard as they can to say trick-or-treat. It’s usually “twick or tweet” or something like that…they are just adorable!

Tonight, our gal Kelly is in the windy city….Chicago, that is! She will be performing tonight at the Chicago Theatre. If you have tickets to go, or have already been to one of her shows, tell us about it! I am sure that there are many fun stories that you can tell us, too! For a complete list of her upcoming tour dates, check out the blog entry that I posted here, and you can see when she is coming to a town near you!

Also, do not forget to swing by Kelly’s official website, which is located at www.kellyclarkson.com, and register to win an autographed Fender guitar, as well as a carrying case. You’re sure to be the envy of the neighborhood with that one! Sign up to win – I’d be so happy if one of my readers won!

A friendly reminder, too; tomorrow is the last installment of the video clips from the behind-the-scenes footage of the My December Tour, as posted on her official website. I am sure that it you will not want to miss it!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

Happy Halloween!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

This is one of my favorite days of the year! Aside from the leftover candy that we can all munch on from trick-or-treaters, there is also the fun part of seeing all of the costumes! I remember when I was little I had one of those really cheap Snoopy costumes - you know, the one with the plastic mask that had the rubber band that wrapped around the head, and the flimsy trash-bag like costume that you just slipped over your head. Another year, I was a witch, and had on this god awful war-paint crap on my face that I managed to sweat off in the Texas October heat. LOL All in all, it was a lot of fun, and still brings back cool memories for me.

In lieu of the holiday, I am posting this post both at my Kelly Clarkson blog ( www.kellyclarkson-fan.info) and my Tom Green blog ( www.tomgreenwatch.com). I hope that it intrigues you to visit both blogs, and get to know what the other one has to offer!

Also, I wanted to bring to you all some holiday Halloween fun, so here’s a little something for all of you to enjoy!

I just LOVE all of the Charlie Brown specials! This one is especially fun, as it means that the holidays are just around the corner! Can you believe that we are now less than a month away from Thanksgiving, and two less from Hanukkah and Christmas? Insane, right? LOL

I hope that you all have a SAFE, FUN and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Happy hauntings to YOU!

Kelly Cries at her Concert

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Happy Tuesday, gang!

Tomorrow is the big day!!! It’s almost Halloween, and I am so looking forward to every bit of it! I hope that you all are too! I know that the holidays, especially Halloween, brings back some great memories for me! I love to think back to all of the cool costumes that I had over the years…they were so much fun! And remember, just because we are adults does not mean that we have to let the fun of the holiday season die, too!

I hope that you all have been having a great week so far! I was on youtube, and wanted to share with you all a clop of Kelly singing from the Beacon Theater (she cries in the clip from the fans singing along), and damn it all it there’s not a code to copy and paste in here! UGH! Oh well, at least if you all check it out, you all are sure to like it as well! Ok, I admit…it gave me goose bumps and made me all choked up too! So moving! I wish that I could have been there to see it!

In lieu of Halloween tomorrow, I am posting a post about Halloween, and not Kelly related, which I hope is cool with you all. I wanted to spread the holiday fun and will give you all a little surprise while I am at it! I am sure that you all will love it, too!

Ok, gang, I am off for now! Check back in tomorrow for some Halloween treats! : )

Happy Monday, everyone!

I hope that you all have had a great weekend! Did any of you attend a Halloween party? I can not believe that we are now getting ready to celebrate Halloween in two more days! The holidays are fast approaching! It is insane!!! Wow!

There is a lot going on in Kellyville that it sometimes seems as though it is hard to keep up! Last week, I mentioned the autographed guitar that Kelly’s fan club is giving away. One lucky winner will win a brand new guitar, signed by Kelly. It is sure to be a nice treat! Check it out over at her website, [tag]www.kellyclarkson.com{/tag}, and sign up to win! I hope that one of US wins the guitar! I would LOVE that!

Also, tune in in the next few days for some really cool prizes that will be awarded for fun contests. I know, I know, I keep saying that there are prizes coming, but there really are, and I want to make sure that no one misses out on them. So, keep checking back here every day to see if you can be a future winner! Who knows, you may be awarded our very first prize! That would be too neat!

I hope that you all have a great Monday! Get your candy ready for the trick-or-treaters…and of course, the leftovers for yourself! LOL Besides, isn’t that the best part about Halloween…the candy? LOL

Check you all back here tomorrow! Until then gang, peace!

Kelly’s Lost Songs

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

Happy Wednesday/Hump Day, everyone! I hope that you all have had a great week so far! The weekend will be here before we know it!

I hope everyone has been having a great time at the My December concerts! I know that some of you have attended, and have talked about it over at Kelly’s official website. It seems like everyone has had a much better time than expected, and some of you were lucky enough to win back stage passes (lucky you!)! If you were one of the lucky few, or even if you attended the concert, tell us about it in the comment section!

The other day, I made mention on this blog that there are clips of Kelly available for her behind-the scenes of the My December tour. The clips can be seen over at the same official website, www.kellyclarkson.com, as stated above. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone who has not watched them yet, so if you have not seen them, stop by her website and check them out!

Do you all ever have Kelly songs that run a constant loop through your head? Today, it was “Go” for me.

I LOVE this song…why the heck was it cut from her My December album? Apparently she had over 40 songs written and recorded, and only the ones that made the record were the winning songs. Can you imagine how those songs will come out over the years…”Kelly’s Hidden Songs”…I can just see it all now! LOL

Until next time, gang…have a great one!

Peace!
