What Hurts the Most

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

kelly-hot.jpg
Happy Thursday, Gang!

I hope that you all are doing well, and are still preparing for the holiday’s! I know that I am ready to be with friends and family for the occasion, so let’s hope that the Thanksgiving Day will be a good one! What are YOU all doing? Where will YOU be traveling to, or is family coming to your home? I hope that everyone has some good plans in the works! And remember, the Thanksgiving holiday is all about giving thanks, so make sure that you are thankful for all that you have!

Well, last night was the big night for Reba and Kelly. Unfortunately, they did not win, but I think that they gave the competition a good run for their money, nonetheless. There were a lot of great singers that were also in the category that they were in, so I think that they at least had some good company!

Are you all still attending those concerts? Kelly is doing some killer performances ( isn’t she always? LOL) and many of YOU have been in attendance! If you have already been to one of Kelly’s shows, tell us all about it! I know that many of us would be very interested to hear about the concert!

Oh yes, and before I forget, let me give you all something else that I am thankful for. I am thankful for my home. Although it is not exactly where we want to live anymore, it keeps us warm, and gives us shelter, so for that, I am very grateful!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

kelly-reba.jpg

Happy Wednesday, gang!

I hope that you all are having a great week so far! I can not believe that we are halfway through the week already! Do you all have any good plans for this weekend? I think that I have a lot of articles that I need to take care of, so I am going to be here this weekend hacking away at the computer! Nonetheless, I love what I do, so it is all worth it! I mean, where else can you have the luxury from working from home all the while getting paid? And in your pajamas too? Love it!

Tonight is the night that Reba and Kelly are both up for the CMA award for Music event of the year. I really hope that they win it, but even if they don’t at least it was a good running! Keep your fingers, crossed, gang! It’s going to be a nail biter for sure! Make sure that you tune into ABC at 7 central tonight to catch all of the fun unfold!

Also, in the note of staying “thankful”, I wanted to share another thing that I am thankful for today. I am ALWAYS thankful for having the internet. Seriously. I am thankful that there is such a communication where we can instantly talk to one another, and I can work from home. How cool is it to have information at the click of a mouse? Think about it, without the internet, you wouldn’t be reading this! LOL

Until tomorrow, gang! Cheers!

kelly-tuesday.jpg

Happy Tuesday, gang!

I hope that you all are doing well! Monday is over, and we are into the week! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is coming in less than 3 weeks? Is that insane or what? What all are you doing for Thanksgiving? Will you be traveling to another state or city to see loved ones? Luckily, most of my loved ones live here in Texas, so there isn’t any additional traveling that I have to do! Of course, I am not sure what the plans for Thanksgiving will be either, so we’ll have to wait to see what will unfold! In a continuation of things to be thankful for, I wanted to share with you all today that I am thankful for my job! It is a blessing to be able to work from home and make money while doing it! I am a full-time freelance writer, and, even though I have my rough days, I am so grateful to be able to make money from the comfort of my own home! Got to love that! LOL

Tomorrow is an exciting day for Kelly! She is up for music event of the year with Reba for her smash hit “Because of You”. The award will be given tomorrow night at the 41st annual CMA awards, so be sure that you tune in to see if our gal and Reba won! That would be so exciting!

Don’t forget to support Kelly by checking her out on her My December tour! Its been a great hit so far, and is sure to still be wonderful if you have the opportunity to go!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

The Day After

kelly.jpg

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I hope that you all have survived Halloween with a good fright or two, and lots of candy! Where we live, we do not get any trick-or-treaters, which is a bummer, but hey, more candy for us, right? I do miss watching the little kids in their adorable costumes, trying as hard as they can to say trick-or-treat. It’s usually “twick or tweet” or something like that…they are just adorable!

Tonight, our gal Kelly is in the windy city….Chicago, that is! She will be performing tonight at the Chicago Theatre. If you have tickets to go, or have already been to one of her shows, tell us about it! I am sure that there are many fun stories that you can tell us, too! For a complete list of her upcoming tour dates, check out the blog entry that I posted here, and you can see when she is coming to a town near you!

Also, do not forget to swing by Kelly’s official website, which is located at www.kellyclarkson.com, and register to win an autographed Fender guitar, as well as a carrying case. You’re sure to be the envy of the neighborhood with that one! Sign up to win – I’d be so happy if one of my readers won!

A friendly reminder, too; tomorrow is the last installment of the video clips from the behind-the-scenes footage of the My December Tour, as posted on her official website. I am sure that it you will not want to miss it!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

MTV VMA’s 2005 Flashback

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Happy Tuesday, gang!

I hope that your week is coming off to a great start! Yesterday, I shared with you all the Metal Skool video of Kelly rocking it out at the concert to Sweet Child O’ Mine. I think that it is great when celebrities can let their hair down and not have to worry about their image being ruined if they go and have a good time. Of course, there are those celebrities that party just TOO much, and they really need to chill out for a while! What the heck has happened to celebrities today anyhow? Geez!

Here’s another favorite video of mine! Oh my gawd, do you all remember when she ROCKED out the MTV VMA awards in 2005 Are there any of you that may have missed it? I think that her performance totally stole the show! Here’s a clip of her performance, courtesy of YouTube!

Ok, so she may not stomp around in down pouring showers at every concert, but I know that she still sings her heart out at each and every show! If you have been to any of Kelly’s concert, what was the best moment of the show for you? Did you enjoy when she sang your favorite song, or did she do something that totally surprised the audience, as well as you? Die hard fans, join in on the conversation! I can’t wait to hear what you all think!

That’s all for today, gang! Check back tomorrow for more Kelly news! See ya then!

Peace!

Sweet Kelly O’ Mine

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Happy Monday, everyone!

I hope that you all had a great weekend, and that your week has started off on the right note. I know that Monday’s can not be the greatest days of the week, so I wanted to share with you all a clip that has been oh-so-popular on YouTube of our gal Kelly.

Now listen, gang, I am not posting this video as a means of showing how Kelly is being a rebel or a bad girl, or even to diss Kelly, because that is not my intent. I am just showing how Kelly is having a great time, and, quite frankly, she ROCKS out to Sweet Child O’ Mine at a Metal Skool concert. Ok, so there may have been some Jack Daniels thrown in here and there, but damn, she was having a great time, and how can you NOT like this video? Ok, fair warning…there is a lot of swearing in this clip as well as adult content…not by Kelly but by the Metal Skool guys. Check it out!

So, what did you think? Do you think that Kelly rocked it or what?!? I, personally watch this clip once a week, because I really do love it! LOL I would LOVE to party with Kelly like everyone here did! F-U-N! : )

Are there any video clips of Kelly that you all love? Which ones do you not like? Let me know, and I can get it all on here to share with all of you!

Until tomorrow, peeps! Keep rockin’ it!

Peace!

Because of You Burns up the Country Charts

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I hope that you all have had a great week so far, and are gearing up for the weekend! I know that I am! How are all of you concert goers enjoying Kelly’s My December tour so far? Are you just LOVING it? She does not hit Texas until November, so we’re going to have to wait until she swings this-a-way. PLUS, she is going to be doing the Thanksgiving Day half-time ceremony for the NFL kick off! How fun is that going to be? I wonder what she will sing? I am thinking One Minute…maybe by then One Minute will be burning up the charts just like Never Again has!

Cool news for those of you that follow country music…Reba’s duet album has come in at number 3 this week for the Top Ten Country Music albums! How cool is that? Congrats to Reba and to Kelly! I think that they both did a wonderful job re-vamping the song! And if you have seen the video, it puts a whole new twist on everything, doesn’t it? Love the song and the video! I am sure that it will win some great accolades from the upcoming CMA awards in just a few short weeks (where the heck does time go? LOL).

Here’s a cute little picture of Kelly and Reba together at the CMA Fan Fair…aren’t they just adorable together? It’s like momma and daughter!

reba-and-kelly.jpg

Too dang cute! You can tell that Reba is totally proud of Kelly, too!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!

Kelly Rocks It!

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Happy Tuesday, Gang!

I hope that your week has been going off to a great start, and that you are getting some reprieve from heat if you all are in a hot state like I am! I can’t wait until it cools off some! This heat is just too much! LOL

Speaking of hot things (you like me segway there? LOL) have you all been checking out Kelly on her [tag]My December tour[tag] at a concert hall near you? So far, she has played in New York and New Jersey, and if you haven’t bought your concert tickets yet, what the heck are you waiting for? Check out your local Ticketmaster, or check in with your local concert hall where she is playing to see how you can get tickets! Also, if you are a fan club member, make sure that you use your code, which is provided when you sign into the fan club, as well as sign up to see if you can get meet and greets with Kelly! I am sure that she would love to see YOU, so make sure that you are signed up for the opportunity to see her! You never know, you could be standing next to Kelly and gushing to her about how much you love her ( ok, so that might be more my dream than yours, but still, you know you’ll do it!).

kelly-beacon-theatre.jpg

If you missed yesterday’s blog about the opening show for Kelly’s tour, you can check it out here! Also, I am still calling out for those of you that may have been to one of her shows to submit me your video or pics so that I can share them with everyone here! I know that we would all love to and hear about how the show went!

Until tomorrow, gang!

Peace

Opening Concert Recap

Monday, October 15th, 2007

Happy Monday, all!

I hope that you all have had a great weekend, and that your Monday is off to a good start! Did any of you catch the shows at the Beacon Theatre over the weekend? If you did, tell us all about it here! I know that I can speak for everyone when I say that we are all interested and want to hear about your experience with the concert!

kelly-sings-it.jpg

For those of you that were at the first concert of this tour, at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino Event Center, I am sure that you all had a great time! Here’s a review from the local newspaper, talking about her first concert, as well as some questions that were asked to Kelly about her songs and going on the road.

By Mark Bialczak
Staff writer
The crowd was young Wednesday night at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino Event Center, many five, 10, even 15 years younger than the 25-year-old singer they came to cheer.
And cheer for Kelly Clarkson they did.
The first winner of the now venerable “American Idol” franchise showed she’s come a ways since she won that Fox TV contest in the summer of 2002.

Clarkson sang her growing cache of pop hits with as much enthusiasm as her fans threw back to her on the stage.
From her first energetic song, “One Minute,” her fans were obviously enchanted. Clarkson’s voice, strong and vibrant, matched the expectations built up from her three albums and ever-growing list of TV appearances. “And you love. And you hate,” Clarkson sang on stage. The fans chose love.
From there, the Texas native went to her pop hit “In These Hazel Eyes,” and the love affair was written in stone. Or at least in the couple of signs that fans held up on the floor.
Backed by a solid six-piece, one-singer band that added the proper musical touches but never got in the way of her lyrics, Clarkson delivered her radio hits and more from her debut CD, 2003’s “Thankful,” the monster follow-up from 2005, “Breakaway,” and this year’s controversial “My December.”
She wrote all 12 songs on the latter, and became embroiled in a dust-up with record guru Clive Davis, who thought the body of work too dark.
Clarkson joked a bit about that line of thought, calling her new songs “twisted.”
“Don’t Waste Your Time,” she declared, she wrote about a loser. The first hit from the album, “Never Again,” she wrote about a “real doozie,” she said. “It’s my most bitter song.”

Also from the new one came the very rocking “Hole.” “I like all kinds of styles. Country. Pop. Rock,” she said. “Hole” she wrote because she’s a fan of late, great grunge band Nirvana. Well done.
Even way back when, Clarkson had a touch for the troubled lyric.
She proved it with “Because of You,” written when she was 16 and made a hit now because she sang it with Reba McEntire on the country star’s new duets album. The crowd sang along loud and proud as Clarkson performed it her way: just her stark voice with the keyboard player’s backing.
Clarkson obviously has a lot of favorite songs; she placed at least a half-dozen of them on her list, as well as one from her mom and another from the band.
My favorite: “Chivas,” the you’re-history song she wrote on bar napkins one night and was caught singing in a bar for a YouTube clip. I couldn’t help smile as she sang, oh-so-confessionally: “So much for true love. I’ll take the Chivas instead.”
Mark Bialczak can be reached at mbialczak@syracuse.com or 470-2175. His blog “Listen Up” is at
blog.syracuse.com/listenup/

I gotta admit that I, too, love that Chivas song! I am kinda surprised, though, that she picked that song as her favorite. Perhaps it is her favorite because it is so whimsical and not as serious as her other songs on the My December album. My favorite song on there is Sober, which is already burning the charts and making its way to television shows, such as “Smallville”. Nonetheless, I think that all of her songs on the album are wonderful, and this is truly her best album yet! She keeps growing with every album that she writes, and I think that her next one will amaze us even more (which, by the way, there is speculation that she is releasing ANOTHER album early next year, as Kelly and Clive Davis have worked out some form of agreement). Either way, I am sure that it is going to be a great cd for all of us to listen to and love!

I hope that you all have a great day! Catch you back here tomorrow! And for those of you that are heading to the concert tonight, have fun!!!!!

Until then, gang! Peace!

Kelly’s a Jersey Gal

Friday, October 12th, 2007

TGIF, gang!

I don’t know about you, but this week has been one hellofa week! Let’s just say that I am really happy that the weekend is coming up! Does anyone have plans to go to the concert tonight in Atlantic City, NJ at the Borgata Hotel Casino? I hope that you all have fun, and that you have some meet and greet passes so you can see her! Also, this Sunday night, she will be singing in New York City, New York, at the Beacon Theatre for three nights in a row! As a member of her fan club, I have seen that some of you have won meet and greet passes to see her, and I could not be happier for you all!

I was searching through Kelly’s online store for her new tour merchandise, and I must admit that I think this tour has the best shirts yet! I always like buying tour shirts from the concerts that I attend. Come to think of it, I think that tour shirts are really the only thing that I buy. If you attend a concert, do you buy souvenirs? If so, what do you purchase?

I have been searching the net for concert pics that people have released from her first concert night on Wednesday in Verona and to no avail so far! My next plan is to ask if anyone in the fan club would have pictures that they are willing to share on here! I know that you all would love to see them, too!

I hope that you all have a happy and safe weekend! Here’s something to make you smile over the weekend! :)

Until Monday, all! Peace!

Kelly’s a Grand Slam

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

Happy Thursday, Gang!

Tour is well under way, and I hope that those of you that were at the concert last night had a great time!!! Kelly is off today, and shipping out to Atlantic City, where she will perform tomorrow night at the Borgata Hotel and Casino. I hope that you have your tickets to go!

Speaking of concert, I am wondering who all has been to Kelly’s concerts? I think that I may have asked this before, and if I have, forgive me…but if you have been to her concerts before, which one was your favorite, and why? What did you like to so much about that concert that it was better than the rest?

Speaking of concerts, Kelly also performed at the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation’s 12 Annual Grand Slam for Children in Las Vegas ( wow, say THAT five times fast! LOL) last week. I think that is something that I just love about Kelly…that no matter what, even when she is busy, that she makes sure that she donates some of her time to charitable organizations. Although many celebrities donate to charities, I think that she just does it with so much style and grace, and you never hear her flaunting about how she did any of it. THAT, my friends, is not only classy, but what a true celebrity is all about!

Here’s a picture of Kelly from the event last week! She always looks so great!

kelly-andre.jpg

I hope that you all have a great Thursday! Don’t forget, if you have been to a show, or are heading to a concert, that you make the time to say to tell us how it went!

Until next time, gang! Peace!

Tonight’s the Night!!!

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I hope that you all have had a great week so far! Today is only bound to get better, as Kelly kicks off her My December tour tonight, in Verona, NY, as I blogged about here. I hope that you all get the opportunity to go and see her, and possibly meet her with a meet and greet, courtesy of the fan club! I can’t wait to hear all of your stories, too, about how the concert went! Also, make sure that you check with Ticketmaster to see if there are still tickets that are available in your area, in case you have not snatched up any tickets already! It is sure to be an awesome tour!

Are YOU going to any of her concerts? If so, which one? Are you going with friends? By yourself? We wanna know! You can tell us all about it in the comment section below!

Also, don’t forget that the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Kelly has teamed up with Ford for their Warriors in Pink program, and is their spokesperson. If you check out their MySpace page, it mentions the Warriors in Pink program! You can add them as a friend, and see exclusive footage of Kelly promoting the program…footage that can not be seen anywhere else!

Also, if there are any Tom Green fans out there, check out my OTHER blog here at 451 Press, www.TomGreenWatch.com. It is updated on the same days as this blog, and is sure to bring you some laughs!

I hope that those of you that go to the concert tonight, have an AWESOME time! Rock on!

Until tomorrow, gang! Peace!
